Ze Marock

I’m a passionate artist and founder of Ze Marock. I started painting on canvas to express emotions words couldn’t capture — then had the idea to wear that emotion. Turning art into fashion became my way of sharing soul, culture, and creativity with the world.

When did you start creating? Was there a specific moment or inspiration that led you to it?
I found my inspiration in Casablanca, surrounded by vibrant colors, bold stories, and deep-rooted traditions. It was during a quiet moment painting in my studio that the idea struck me — to blend art and fashion into one living, wearable expression.
What emotions, messages, or themes do you hope to convey through your work?
My message is simple yet powerful: your story is art.
Ze Marock celebrates individuality, culture, and emotion — each piece is a reminder that what you wear can reflect who you are, where you come from, and what you believe in.
What materials, tools, or techniques do you use, and why did you choose them? (This can include digital tools, traditional techniques, or unique processes.)
For clothes, I start with hand-painted canvases using high-quality acrylics and textile mediums to ensure the art stays vivid and washable. Each piece is then carefully transferred onto fabric, preserving the texture and soul of the original painting. This technique blends traditional art with modern fashion, making every garment a wearable canvas.
For rugs, I use the tufting gun technique, premium wool or cotton yarns, and a custom-designed canvas frame. I chose tufting for its freedom and texture—it allows me to create bold, tactile art that people can walk on, live with, and feel.
Every tool and material I use serves one purpose: to transform emotions into art you can wear or place in your space.
What was the biggest challenge you faced in your creative journey, and how did you overcome it?
The biggest challenge was finding a balance between art and functionality — creating pieces that are both deeply artistic and durable enough to wear or use daily. Turning raw emotion into something tangible, without losing its essence in the process, pushed me to constantly refine my techniques and trust my vision, even when the path felt uncertain.
Do you remember your first sale? How did it feel?
My first sale felt surreal — like someone had just believed in my dream. It wasn’t just a product leaving my hands, it was a piece of my heart finding a new home. I was proud, nervous, and deeply grateful all at once. It was the moment I knew Ze Marock had a real voice.
Has a customer ever shared a special story or reason for purchasing your work?
If yes, we’d love to hear more! What was their story?
Clients purchase my work because it’s more than fashion or décor — it’s a story, a feeling, a piece of art that speaks to their individuality. Each creation is handmade, unique, and filled with meaning. They’re not just buying a product, they’re connecting with emotion, culture, and authenticity — something they won’t find anywhere else.
Is there a particular piece or product that customers seem to love the most? What makes it special?
One of the most loved pieces is a jacket made from a canvas titled “NOSTALGIA” — filled with bold brushstrokes and warm, earthy tones. Clients connect with it because it feels like a memory, like something familiar yet unique. It tells a story without words, and each person sees a part of themselves in it. That emotional connection makes it unforgettable.
What are your future plans? What do you hope to achieve through your creative business?
My future plans are to expand Ze Marock into a full lifestyle brand — combining art, fashion, and home décor in a way that feels both personal and luxurious. I want to open a concept store, collaborate with international artists, and make Ze Marock known worldwide for its authenticity and bold creativity.
My ultimate goal? That when someone wears or owns a Ze Marock piece, they feel seen, empowered, and connected to something real.
Are you working on any exciting new projects or collections?
Yes, I’m currently working on expanding the brand with a collection of custom tufted rugs that blend modern art with functional design. Each rug will be a unique statement piece, offering a tactile experience that’s as beautiful as it is practical. I’m also exploring the idea of creating an exclusive line of limited-edition art garments that merge my paintings with new textures and sustainable fabrics, to make art accessible in everyday life.
Why did you choose to join ZART? How has our platform helped your creative business?
I chose Shop Zart because it aligns perfectly with Ze Marock’s vision of merging art and fashion in a unique, accessible way. The platform’s focus on supporting independent creators and its ability to showcase artisanal products helped me reach a wider audience.
